Can't change PivotTable Data Source in Excel 2016

Hi Marcva and welcome to the forum,

2016 has newer features on the Data Tab. They are in the "Get & Transform" group that 2007 never had. Are you using this newer feature?

Possibility two - If you change the data and try to do a pivot table again, did you save the file first? This newer 2016 pulls data from the file that is saved, not the currently edited file in memory.

If neither of these help then a sample file showing the problem would help.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

No I did not use the "Get and Transform" options in 2016 version for my PivotTable.
Next I tried to save the file fist, as you suggested, but with no result. The table refuses to store the new source, on a other sheet in the same workbook.

So I upload a stripped file in which the core of my problem stays clear. Hopefully

In the Before sheet you see an invoice. Page 2 is a specification of the hours I have spend on a job. Data the on "jun" sheet.
I used to copy the Invoice sheet. Than change the data source of the pivot table in "jul" and that did the trick.

So now I tried to make a query by the Data Tab on the After sheet. It refuses to use data of the same workbook. Data should be elsewhere

Question is: how do I collect date and hours from an other sheet as I did in 2007 version??

UPDATE: I managed to create a new PT in v 2016 ike the one I had in v 2007. Still can't change the Data Source however. So for every month I have to build a new PT again. Thought newer would be better
