    Column Formatting in Pivot Table

Each time I refresh my pivot table (MS Office 365, Excel 2016), some (not all!) the columns with centred formatting reformat to their default status (i.e. left for alpha, right for numeric) and I have to reformat. It's only an inconvenience, but does anyone know how to preserve the formatting? Thanks.

Many thanks, Alvin, but unfortunately that box was already unchecked. I tried checking and unchecking it again, but no joy.

    Hello,
Enable the tick for "Preserve cell formatting on update" in Pivot table options?!

Unfortunately it's a confidential file so I can't really upload any part of it. I'll try to replicate it in another file, though that might take me a while. Thanks again for such a quick response.

Thanks, than_gold, but it's already enabled. At least with your and Alvin's advice, I don't feel as stupid as I did!

Oh..good to know. But without the sample data we won't be able to solve the issue. Since it's confidential data..these kind of possible ways only we give you based on your input.
