How do I create interactive charts based on different range of data?

    Question How do I create interactive charts based on different range of data?

    Hi guys, hope you are all well.

    Please bear with me since English is not my native language. My day to day work involves some moderate data entry, spreadsheets etc. So what I am looking for is to have a bar data chart that is interactive based on different range of data.

    Example:

    If our company hired 12 new starters (6 expatriate employee & 6 national employees say in March) and another 9 in April (6 expat & 3 national) I want the data chart to pull out this information which i have already entered on another tab of the same worksheet. How would I go about doing this?

    At the moment I am doing everything manually and it's really time consuming as I work on data of 400+ people. If you know a solution please advice and recommend any better improvements.

    Look into building a pivot chart with a pivot table

    If only I had Excel 2010 or greater, but unfortunately I only have Excel 2007 which does not have pivot charts.
