Pivot Slicer Help

I have a pivot table in Sheet1 and I added a slicer to control the data. I would like to be able to copy the sheet, say into Sheet2, and have the slicer in that sheet control only the pivot table in Sheet2. However, when I copy the sheet, the slicer in Sheet1 and the slicer in Sheet2 are both connected to both pivot tables. I have to go back into Sheet1 and edit the connection so that slicer only points to the pivot in Sheet1 and then do the same thing but in Sheet2. Is there a pivot table setting I am missing?

try:

• create sheet2 (blank)
• open brand new excel file
• copy whole PivotTable from sheet1 to new excel file
• then copy whole PivotTable from new excel file into sheet2 (old file)
• create Slicer for second PivotTable
• close temporary new file
