    Excel 2016 formatting slicers

Hi is it possible please, to somehow hide slicer "group options" that do not actually contain any information for that particular pivot/graph?

Hopefully you can see Families "History" and "#N/A" that for the life of me I can't hide them, I have deleted and created new slicers again and again, and I have tried every combination in the slicer formatting settings.

Thing is there aren't even any N/A families, although there are History's which do have results, they are machines we no longer make but need to stay in the report, until such a time when they naturally fall off but are in the reporting period at present.

Thank you, please save my sanity

I suspect the #N/A is old data. You need to change the Pivot Table's data settings to not retain old data values.

There is an option in the slicer settings to hide items with no data- do you have that selected?
