    Doughnut chart second layer

    Hi,

I am trying to do something - I have plotted the months with their respective lengths (of course differences are almost invisible to ***** eye) on doughnut chart. Is there a clever way to get a second layer to doughnut chart that shows individual daily units for each month. I want to use this for to visualize annual deliveries, i.e. add tasks and deliveries on the specific place on the doughnut chart, i.e. if delivery is on 31st of January, I want to point an arrow from that specific area for January and add a task name. If there are any other clever suggestions, please (do not suggest Gantt chart please ).

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Doughnut chart second layer

You could have another layer to your doughnut chart with 365 segments, each of value 1. Seeing which tiny segment is which day is almost impossible, though, from the quick test I've done. I suppose if you categorised the 365-segment data with the dates (1 Jan, 2 Jan,..., 31 Dec), you would be able to find the one you wanted - but only when zoomed in quite a bit.

Someone else might have a better idea though - charts aren't really my strong point.

If your problem is solved, please go to 'Thread Tools' above your first post and 'Mark this Thread as Solved'.
If you use commas as your decimal separator (1,23 instead of 1.23) then please replace commas with semi-colons in your formulae.
You don't need to give me rep if I helped, but a thank-you is nice.

    Re: Doughnut chart second layer

    Hi,

It actually does the job. Big thanks! It is approximation only and I can only turn on data series name separately for those units that I need.

    best regards
