    Displaying N/A's in Charts

    Hi all,

I have some charts which is measuring some workflow performance throughout the year by each month. Sometimes however there is no workflow and it gets marked as N/A.

This looks weird in a chart though as the data line registers this as 0 so upon viewing the chart it looks like performance/workflow has dropped to 0.

Does anybody know a way around this?

What do you want it to show if not 0?

Could you attach a desensitized sample workbook?

    Re: Displaying N/A's in Charts

Honestly I am not too sure, I know that isn't particularly helpful, I thought about maybe just putting N/A but that drops it to 0, obviously putting it as 0 does the same thing. Another option I toyed with was just putting any N/A to the expected target level but again on face value that looks like performance has hit the target rather than just an N/A, there may not be a way around this but thought the clever folks on these forums might know of a smart way around this.

Unfortunately I am not able to attached a workbook at this time, I will see if I can attach an example shortly.

Apologies for the vagueness of my request!

Are you using the text string "N/A" or are you using the error value NA()? What chart type are you using?

Until you can provide more details and/or a sample file, this should be good reading: https://peltiertech.com/mind-the-gap...g-empty-cells/

    Hi MrShorty,

Thanks, that article actually explained what I needed and was trying to do, simple registering 0's and N/A's with #N/A skipped over that part of the chart!

    Thanks!
