    Pivot Table Date Output Question

So if I put dates in a pivot table and group them by Year and Quarter, they look like the following:

    A.PNG

Basically, there's a gap (i.e., blank row) between the quarters when one year jumps to another (i.e., between Q4 and Q1)

Is there any way to get the pivot table to output them like this.

    2016 Q1
    2016 Q2
    2016 Q3
    2016 Q4
    2017 Q1
    2017 Q2
    2017 Q3
    2017 Q4

Such that there is no gap between years?

I'm using Excel 2010. Thanks in advance!

    Subtotals OFF
    Report Layout - Tabular form

if you want blanks: Blanks row - Insert blank line after each item

So I right clicked, Field Settings, then did what you said (selected Subtotals None and Show Item Labels in tabular form) but it's still not working. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
