Pivot table data pulled collected together need to expand

I have produced a pivot table which pulls the data and corresponding data from a main table. But i get the date only on the first row as shown in attached image 1.

I would like it to be the same as image 2 so i can build a line chart of the data

I have attached a cut down copy of the excel sheet. The data is recorded on sheet 1 and the chart is on sheet 3 with pivot table

What i am trying to do is produce a line chart with the dates at the bottom and the Min Direct plotted across the chart

hope this all makes sense

All you really need is to format the axis on the chart as a Text axis.

I am not sure i got across my point properly. The pivot table is making all the dates one date on the left of the column shown in the image. If I try to make a line chart from this pivot table i get the chart shown in the image. I wanted to have a line chart with the date at the bottom and the delayed min for each date plotted across the chart.

i have attached an updated excel doc with out the previous chart which may have caused some confusion.

A pivot chart won't work for that since your "Min" values are row fields, not value fields. You would have to use a normal chart.

I was trying to use a normal chart but every time I highlight the data the whole pivot table gets highlighted. i will try some different ways

Yes the chart looks like what I need but did not realize you have changed all the dates to the same month on the pivot table. Not sure i can use this example

add Min Direct to the Rows Area at first place
add Date to the Rows Area at second place
add Min Direct but to the Values Area and set sum or count - it's up to you
then right click on horizontal axis and select format then in Labels option uncheck Multi-level category labels

OK got it thank you sandy, please ignore previous post i made a mistake. Will have a play with this and see if i can get this working on my main excel book.
