Exclude non numeric numbers from Excel chart using dynamic name range

Hi there! Ive created a chart that will automatically update when additional data points are added. However, due to my source data pulling through non numeric numbers the chart still shows the points which are non numeric. As a result of this you will see that my chart has a massive spike - going from 0 to 100. Im trying to use the countifs in the defined name, instead of counta, which will only include numeric numbers/values - negative and positive. But this does not seem to be working at all. refer my attachment....

Re: Exclude non numeric numbers from Excel chart using dynamic name range

    Hi,

    Welcome to the forum.

I have created two dynamic named ranges called "X_Dates" and "Y_PX_Last" and used them as source data for the chart. See if this is what you were trying to achieve.

If i were to add additional data points, will the formula change? I tried updating the formula to include column C, but getting an error message.

You mean you want to add another series? If so, make another named range like Y_PX-Last and replace the occurrence of column B with C in the formula.
