Clustered Column Chart with multiple values

    Hi all,

I need to make two separate clustered column charts for SR and TOU for Company A1 and B1 where the number of total SR and TOU offers in price range should show in the y-axis and the Value of midpoint offer (range =$100) on the x-axis.

I would really appreciate it, if someone can help me with this.

    Thank you.

Please upload a workbook or a representative cut down copy, anonymised if necessary. It is always easier to advise if we can see your request in its context and no one wants to spend time recreating your data when its already available.

Re: Clustered Column Chart with multiple values

I second Richard's suggestion, a sample file would help us help you.

How much of your question is about creating the chart, and how much is about generating the desired summary statistics in the spreadsheet? Your pictures do not show any of the summary data I would expect for the chart, so I don't know if you have computed that data yet or not. Remember that Excel charts cannot really analyze data by themselves. We need to analyze the data in the spreadsheet, arrange the results so that they can be charted, then build the chart. Based solely on the pictures and what I think you are trying to do, I would expect:

    1) Enter/compute a column of "bins".
    2) Enter a FREQUENCY() function (or COUNTIFS() function) for each column of data. https://support.office.com/en-us/art...7-fd9ea898fdb9
    3) Select the bins+counts table and insert a clustered column chart.
    4) Correct any mistakes Excel makes on chart creation and format chart as desired.

I must admit that I'm not sure how to make the bins, but I did some reading and I'll try and see if I can come up with something from what you've suggested. Thanks heaps.

Re: Clustered Column Chart with multiple values

I'm not sure what difficulty you are having making the bins. My first guess would be that you would use the values your picture shows along the X axis (1550, 1650, 1750, ...). You could enter 1550, 1650, and so on in column L, or you could enter 1550 in L2, then enter =L2+100 into L3 and copy down.
