    Pivot Table Help - Counts

Hi - I have an excel spreadsheet with about 5,000 rows that have email addresses. Some of these email addresses are duplicate. They are from email campaigns. It shows that email A, opened an email on date x and date y. So therefore some of the emails are duplicative.

I am trying to do a pivot that says - Email A shows up X times on the spreadsheet, and sum of the Opens and Clicks that are next to it.

See attached - I also made notes of the example I am trying to output.

** Please note - this data is not real - I did a find/replace with certain characters to protect individual data.

    That is not difficult...

you put opens en clicks in the values region and the email in the rows
make sure the open and click values are set to sum, they appear standard as count of.. and then mostly clicks look strange as it will show 1-2 or 3 depening on how often the email is in the data and not show the sum of clicks varying from 0 to 5 in your sample date.

Because it is sample data I assumed that the strange open numbers like 1,20283.. that is some sort of conversion error.
The setup of the pivot is correct so if you recreate the pivot in the same way on your origial data it should work
where the key is to change the settings of the values from count to sum

Yup - I had the COUNT in there versus SUM. This solved it. Thx
