So I have a spreadsheet that pulls CSV's from a file folder and compiles them. If I make a pivot table in THAT Workbook it returns values that make sense.... In this case a function of time (.03).
The problem I am having is that when I am working in another workbook and make a pivot table using that original source data (via a connection) the value is distorted. It shows up as 8772 or some other equally as ridiculous value.
Anyone have an idea of what is going on here?
How are you pulling in CSV data?
Are you using PowerQuery (Get & Transform)? Or via MS Query or some other method?
CSV is just text file and lacks any schema info, so depending on setting (Registry, Options chosen in Query etc), you may get mixed result.
If using MS Query/ADO code, I'd recommend use of schema.ini file to enforce schema rule.
If using PowerQuery, ensure same data type etc are enforced in the editor, and then load to data model.
