Power Pivot to Combine Multiple Pivot Tables

I've been messing with the pivot tables and am starting to get the hang of it. Now I'm having trouble trying to combine two pivot tables to create a master financial sheet. Or being able to add categories to a pivot table without them being associated with each other.

My goal is to have a financial summary on one pivot table. Showing rental income and expenses sub categorized how I have the current pivot tables. Can this be done with the Income and Expenses being on two separate tables?

I've attached what I have so far.

    Thanks,

    Chad

Attach example Excel file (as you did) but with the result what you want to achieve (do it manually if necessary)

Re: Power Pivot to Combine Multiple Pivot Tables

    Hello,

If you want to create a single pivot table with all your data, you will need to combine the income and expense source data into one single data table. The two tables currently have different columns and you will need to put some work into organising and structuring the data. You don't necessarily need Power Pivot for that, but using Power Query to combine and organise the data could be quite helpful.

    cheers, teylyn

See attached. I'd like to not have to combine the two tables. I want to keep the income table and the expense table separate to make it easier for everyday data input.

    Thanks

I understand Rental Income tab and Expenses tab are the source for PivotTable?

your example of the "result" is a big misch-masch with #refs and hidden columns

sorry mate, I don't understand what you want to achieve with PivotTable

Expenses and Income doesn't have any common point.
