    Pivot Chart

    Hi All,

I have a data set (see attached example sheet). How can I create a pivot chart to display a specific parameter with a specific sample ID over time. for example I would like to display ammonium RAW_WATER and ammonium OUTFLOW over time.

    Thanks,

    Re: Pivot Chart

I have created the pivot chart. I just want to change the chart type to markers instead of line or bar which does not allow me. any idea how I can do that or that is not a feature allow me to do? if not, any alternative way instead of pivot chart to do it?

    Re: Pivot Chart

You should be able to right click the chart and pick Change chart type.

    Re: Pivot Chart

Pivot charts do not support any of the xy-scatter or bubble chart types.

If you want those you will have to use a normal chart based on range occupied by pivot table. Take care when selecting data otherwise excel will turn chart into pivot chart

    Re: Pivot Chart

Not built in to the chart, cause that would be a pivot chart.

You could add slicers to control the pivot table content. Then with vba code update the chart to use the correct data.

The attached contains a chart as per your original description, just is case you don't need a scatter.

    Re: Pivot Chart

Thanks Andy, I have got this far but when I have more data it will categorise the dates which annoys me and I need to have them in days
