If I read the requirement correctly you want a chart showing when the goals were scored in the various games.

I took your data sheet and I converted it into an Excel Table since Excel tables know how much data they have. You can add, change an delete data and the formulas and charts will still work. I put a change event on the table so if you add or change data to it, the pivot tables will refresh. I added a helper column that gives a name to the matches: Home:Away.

There are some helper cells in Column L that help locate the appropriate match for plotting.

On the lookup page there are several pivot tables that are used to drive the cascading drop-down lists on the Chart page. Each of these pivot tables is overlaid with a named dynamic range that is used to control the drop-down values. I have a VBA change event on the Chart sheet that sets the filters when Country and League are selected. I can go into more detail if you are interested in what is going on "under the hood (or bonnet)."

On the chart sheet. Select a country in Cell B1. The selection changes the filters on the pivot tables which means that only the leagues in that country are available for selection in Cell B2. Similarly, select the league and the games within that league are shown.

Once the game is selected the code finds the match and plots the goals. I thought that a bar chart would be the best way to display this data.

One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
