Bar of Pie - changing the colour of the pie sliced to the bar

    Hi ladies and gents,

I am familiar with changing the colours of a pie chart, however am using a Bar of Pie for the first time and don't seem to be able to change the colour of the slice that leads out to the bar. Can anyone help please?

The site wont let me add an attachment, apologies.

From what i remember of Excel 2010

if you want to change the color of a slice
click on the slice then click on it again
    then right click it
there should be an option on the drop down that says format Data POINT

then you go to fill and then the rest should be self explanatory

    Solid fill...select color etc

I wish it were that simply - the usual process (described) works for all slices EXCEPT the slice that has been pulled out into the bar.

I wish I could get image/attachment to save to show you what I mean.

I was able to get around it with a crude way. Follow this.
    1. click on the pie chart and go to the fill option.
    2. select solid fill and select the color that you want to appear on the slice that leads to the bar.
    3. select other pies or the bars and change their color as per your need. the slice will retain its color.
