Lightbulb How can I count the total number of unique occurances between two fields.

Hi, firstly thank you for your time.

Hopefully you will see from the screen shot what I'm trying to explain.
If we use Maint Plan 6033610 as the example. You can see that the Plant Section 19 occurs 8 times, 19B twice and 19G once.
With the Grand Total being 11. I want a Grand Total or just Total to indicate 3 - the number of unique occurrences e.g. 19, 19B & 19G.

    How is this possible?

Note: I don't actually need the number of Plant Section occurrences, just that it occurs at least once. However if this doesn't need to be changed for the solution then just leave it as is.

Hopefully I have explained it enough for you to understand.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm scratching my head a bit with this one.

    Thanks in advance,

    Olly

I am assuming that in the grand total column you are using the =Sum function. Change this to the =Count Function. The issue I have is that I cannot determine what you have in your picture.

Pictures are of little value. Honestly, no one wants to re-type your data to try and solve your issue. Additionally, we would only be guessing at how your data was structured, ie. formulas, formatting, etc. Additionally, due to how some browsers behave, many of our members cannot see uploaded pictures/images. Please do not take this route.

Please attach a sample file that represents what you have. The structure of your attachment should be the same structure as your actual data. Any proprietary information should be changed.

Include in the attachment any code you're currently using (whether it works or not) and an "After" of what you wish the output to be.

To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
