    Dashboard - Slicers

    Hello!
I am organizing a dashboard to present company's results.

What I want to see is the evolution of customer sales each year and what they represent in relation to total results of the company.

The central sheet is the "Vendas" sheet in which I have associated each document with the day, customer and transaction value.

What happens is that I want to start organizing information and excel does not allow me to use slicers. Someone can help me? Thank you!

What do you mean by "excel does not allow me to use slicers"?

    Re: Dashboard - Slicers

When I was starting to design my dashboard, I want to use slices to define which customer and year I want to see the performance and the slices are disable.
    Can you help me please?

    Re: Dashboard - Slicers

Will you please attach a sample Excel workbook? We are not able to work with or manipulate a picture of one and nobody wants to have to recreate your data from scratch.

    1. Make sure that your sample data are REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

    2. Make sure that your desired results are also shown (mock up the results manually).

    3. Make sure that all confidential data is removed or replaced with dummy data first (e.g. names, addresses, E-mails, etc.).

    4. Try to avoid using merged cells as they cause lots of problems.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Please pay particular attention to point 2 (above): without an idea of your intended outcomes, it is often very difficult to offer appropriate advice.

    Thanks for your answer.

I attached to my first post the Excel file. Download link removed by moderator - not needed.

    Can you help me?

    Thanks a lot!

    Re: Dashboard - Slicers

I have looked at your file - I do not see any slicers.

If I select a table (e.g. the one on the Vendas sheet) I can insert a slicer. Is it this table you want to use slicers with? You cannot insert slicers unless you have a table selected.

You are going to need to explain exactly what you are trying to achieve.

    Re: Dashboard - Slicers

What I want is to see the evolution of sales for client for year. I want to have interactive sheet and for that I want to insert slicers. But I don't know how to do it.
Do you understand what I want to do?
    Thanks again.
