From save as a picture, how to make picture suitable for publication?

I use save as a picture for my Excel graphs. Pictures even saved as .png are very small: 10 - 20 KB. This is not suitable for publishing. Сan I get good enough resolution copying from Excel?

can you describe the exact steps you are using to save the chart as a picture? Because there is no built-in Excel command to do that.

If you use the Copy as Picture command from the Copy dropdown on the Home ribbon, the resolution of the picture will depend on your current monitor resolution. If that is not sufficient for your purposes, you may want to increase the chart size before taking the copy.
