PowerPivot/PivotTable showing same results after relationship building.

Hello friends, hope all is well!

Please help me with the powerpivot/pivottable here. I have an external workbook with 3 sheets.
    17nam and 18nam have non-duplicated patient-names. I want to link the sheet “17-18” to both “17nam” and “18nam”.

The images here show that I built a relationship between all 3 sheets, but the outcome in the table shows the SAME numbers.
Please help me display the actual different numbers.

Thank you very much in advance

Hard to say without sample, but it looks as though you had built ambiguous relationship.

You should append 18nam to 17nam to create single dimension table for staff and then built your relationship off of that table.

To get further help, I'd recommend uploading desensitized sample file.

Thank you very much for replying. I want to share the workbook but its too big, and data-source is placed outside the workbook that has the pivot.

anyway, I also placed the image of 18nam. I cant place 18name with 17nam, I need them separated because if they are in the same sheet names will be duplicated (some staff continued in the organization for both years).

hopefully you can detect what I am doing wrong. please help.

Then, you'd need to create helper column that serves as relationship column.

In each table, add column where you concatenate PatientName with Year.

You can now append 18nam to 17nam and will retain unique value for the concatenated column.

Then use that to build your relationship.
