    Conditional formatting charts ??

I'm a geotechnical engineer and I'm trying to present a "soil profile" with depth below surface. I think I can set up the chart as stacked colums where each colum represent a soil type (sand, clay etc.) , please see attached file. Is there any way to attached a specific patterne to e.g "Sand" and another pattern to "Clay" etc. like I have done maually in the attached file ????

I don't know what is available in your version of Excel, but when I call up the Format series dialog, under the Fill dialog, I get a "picture or texture fill" option. See if any of the options there work for you.
