    Charting issue

    Charting issues:
For the issues where the count is zero then it should not be displayed in graph. Currently im doing manually by unchecking issues having values as zero. Is there any way to do this by VBA coding or formulas. Attached file for reference

    Re: Charting issue

You need to build a range of chart data that excludes zero values.

You can do that with formula.
Then you need to add 2 named ranges to specify want ranges to use for labels and data within the chart.
Finally you need to update the series data to reference the 2 named ranges.

Alternatively you could apply a filter to your chart data and unselect zeros.

    Example of each in attached.

    Re: Charting issue

If this is a pivot chart then you can select the 'Name' button in the bottom left corner of the chart, select values filter, select greater than, type in zero, select OK.
Note that I believe you are using a newer version of Excel than 2003 as the file you attached was a .xlsx If you are actually using the 2003 version to analyze your data then I don't believe you'll be able to make a pivot chart and you'll need to use the values filter in the 'Name' cell of the pivot table to filter your regular chart.

    Re: Charting issue

In the example I posted you would filter the data using the autofilter already applied to the range.

In D2 click the arrow to display filter contents. Uncheck zero. Rows will be hidden and the chart automatically updated.

Welcome to the forum! Please take a moment to re-read forum rule #1 and then amend your thread title to something that better explains your problem. Changing your thread title is not optional, which means you must change it. Thanks!

    • Use concise, accurate thread titles.
    • Your post title should describe your problem, not your anticipated solution.
    • Use terms appropriate to a Google search - poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice tell us nothing.
    • Responding to a request to change your thread title by doing so is mandatory.

To change a title go to your first post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title.

I know this thread is well underway, but no more help to be offered, please, until the OP complies with this request.
