    Fixed positioning of data labels

    Hi all,
I've got a chart that is automatically updated each month. At certain values, the Horizontal Axis label overlaps the data label. Is there a way to get all data labels to appear above the X axis, rather than below it, regardless of whether the amount is positive or negative?

Here's a screenshot of the chart, and the data.Chart data labels.png

    Thanks a lot,
    Oliver

It's probably easier to move Axis Label to bottom of chart.

Select format axis, set label position to low.

Otherwise, to have all labels above x axis, you'd need to adjust position manually or using VBA.

Here's code to place label above top most position for each data point.
Adjust ChartObject and -12 (larger the subtraction, further above data point label appears) as needed.
