Hi all. I'm currently working on a column chart which contain data as smallest as 1 and the biggest as 100000.
I want the Y-axis to start with (for example: 1, 10, 50, 100, 500, 1000, 100000, 200000).
Please teach me how to custom change the Y-axis.

I notice that you have several values in the chart that are less than 1. What do you want to do with those values?
Your desired axis labels are not terribly far removed from a logarithmic scale. If your desired audience can manage to read it without becoming confused, then simply formatting the y axis to be a logarithmic axis is probably the easiest.
To get exactly what you want is going to be a bit more involved. Basically, the technique is described here (https://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts...cNotation.html ) and here (https://peltiertech.com/reciprocal-chart-axis-scale/ ). The basic idea is to:
1) If needed, transform the data to the desired scaling values. I can't tell exactly how you want to "space" the requested intervals, so I cannot provide any suggestions here.
2) Plot a "dummy" series to use for the custom axis and change this serie's chart type to xy scatter (making a combination column + xy scatter chart). I will assume that you either know how to make such a combination chart, or can follow Jon's directions.
3) Add data labels to the "dummy" series that display the desired values at the appropriate points on the axis (For 2010, you will want to use Rob Bovey's free XY chart labeler add-in at appspro.com ). Again, I will assume you can follow the directions in Jon's tutorials.
Where do you get stuck?
