    Pivot filter

    Dear all excel expert,

I have created a pivot table, and there is one field called item code which I need to filter.
There are easily about 400 item code in that field, and I would need to selectively filter 200 item code as these are the active code in the market.

By default, I will have to selectively filter one by one for that 200 items, and then done deal.
I'm just wondering if there is any quicker way to call out / filter the 200 items, especially if there's additional new item code which would be active in the future.

    Appreciate everyone help.

    Thanks

    Regards

    Hi cks,

Are the codes numbers or text? Can you determine a rule for the ones you want to keep? Could you do an Advanced Filter on your data using the codes to keep as your criteria and then pivot the filtered table?
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

    Hi MarvinP

There are codes number, normally with 6-digit, from 000001 to XXXXXX
How to determine a rule, because the codes are not in sequence.

    Thanks

    Re: Pivot filter

Could you upload a desensitized sample of the source data and a manual mock up of the corresponding pivot table?
