Excel Pivot chart - Grand total

    Hello,

I am attempting to finish my interactive dashboard by getting a percentage from values I have placed in the pivot tables.

My end goal: Take the number (#) of skills requested and divide them by the total (#) of job postings. (attached)

Currently, I am not sure that the way I have the pivot table in the dashboard is actually calculating as I previously stated for my end goal objective. I may have been looking at it too long, as the second set of eyes would be greatly appreciated. (attached)

Re: Excel Pivot chart - Grand total

Ok so I got a little further last night.

I am attempting to divide the total skills in each row by the grand total of job postings.

I need to do this formula: =(skills cell)/(grand total) (both are highlighted in red in the above attachment) and in my excel pivot table it would be =(C15)/(B97) so I get a percentage end result of 22.98%

However, currently I cannot get this to figure in my excel pivot table.

I have attempted to go into, from the pivot table, >Analyze>Field, Items, & Sets >Calculate Field

    Calculate Fields.PNG

    I have added the field

    added field.PNG

Then I clicked OK, however I end up with errors: #DIV/0! or just zero (0).

Any insight on where I may be going wrong or what I may need to do the pivot table is attached to an interactive dashboard so when I update my data I need it to also update.
