Help! Combo chart not behaving like it used to.

I have new information. I installed Open Office and loaded the attached file. It works as it should which tells me that there is an issue with Microsoft Excel. When I load the full data set it hangs so that is not a complete solution.

This is my second attempt to attach a sample file. Please, someone tell if it did not work.

I have created many custom charts using the combo format and have run into a problem I have not been able to correct. These charts are actually used a local maps and I have a couple that have an extreme amount of data to plot. I am using Office 365 ProPlus. Every one of my charts contain interrupted series of X and Y coordinates. and most charts have as many as 20 to 30 series. The original working chart of the particular one that I am asking about had close to 40 series. This chart was created around 2012. I have tried to open the file in a copy of 2003 but the problem is still there so I don't think it is a version problem of which I have had many.

I have attached a simple sample with two series. The one that works in orange and the one that doesn't in blue. The blue series should look like several meandering paths around the bottom of the chart but as you can see it is a straight horizontal line. Ca anyone please explain why the two series behave differently and hopefully how I can correct it.

    Thanks,
    Russ

Attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
