    Graph Help! Please!

    Good Morning!

I have never had a lot of experience with graphs (and never needed too within my current role) however now I need to put something together for our Board of Directors and I'm completely lost.
    Please help!

I have a huge set of data which I've pivoted to get my summary data inc. a 'Distinct Count' of deals we've done.
I haven't been able to include the pivot table in the working example as it includes company sensitive information however I've included the raw data as the pivot appears.

I basically need a bar chart that looks like that on the right however I'm really really struggling. Completely lost.

I'm looking for a bar chart that has 3 columns per month, one showing direct sales, indirect sales and a total column. Ideally I'd also like an overlay which shows the total no. of placement for each of those.
I'm not looking for someone to do my work for me - just a bit of guidance would be HUGELY appreciated as I'll need to transfer the chart to my working document anyway!

    Thank you!

Your table set up is incorrect. Take a look at the file I attached and make your table format looks like mine then insert the a stacked column chart using the table as data source.

    Thank you, JieJenn!
Your chart certainly looks better than anything I've managed to create
I'm so used to creating data tables I hadn't realised layout would have such a huge impact on a graph! Monday morning brain!!

I do however need the graph data to be based on "Sales (£)" figures with the "No. of Placements" as the data labels. Do you think this is possible?

    Thanks again!!

Applying custom label is a little bit of manual work but it is doable. Peltier's website has a post detailed about how to apply custom label manually.
