    Stacked Chart

Hello. I am trying to create a stacked chart for two sets of data and would like for it to reflect the below. Can someone please advise if this is even possible and if so how to do it?

    1. TIC - $500,000.00
    2. Contract Value - $600,000.00

I would love the chart to reflect $600,000.00 when stacked instead of the chart showing $11,000,000. It's like it adds an addition $600,000.00 on top of the $500,000.00 when I would like it to only show the difference between the two. The reason being I would like to show how the Contract Value grows past the TIC value. Attached is an example.

that is how a stacked column chart works. If you want it to show the difference between the two values, then you need to add a column to your spreadsheet to calculate that difference, then use that column in your chart.

You may also need something different for the first data series if your version of Excel wants to have "negative" stacks extend below 0 instead of extending down from the top of the previous stack. A column with =MIN(B2:C2) may be good enough.

Maybe this is what you mean.

Clustered column with overlap set to 100%.
You will need addition series to handle cases where one value would obscure the other. I also added a non filled series to display total value.

Andy Pope, in the legend are you able to get rid of the second "TIC"? Otherwise, this is exactly what I am looking for! Thanks! Now I am going to try and recreate! Lol!

    Re: Stacked Chart

    From Andy's website...
    • The first step to removing a legend entry is to select the legend with a single mouse click.
    • Then with another single click you can select the legend entry. You can now use the delete key to remove the entry.
