Charting batch codes performance in a line graph.

    Hello People,

I was hoping someone could help me here.
I have a line graph that charts the performance of an ingredient used over time. It has a discrepancy value on the Y axis and dates on the X axis.
I have a bunch of batch codes that I want to show when we received those batches on the same x axis in the chart mentioned.

Right now I insert a arrow like shape with batch code number in the arrow. Then I drag in to place along the x axis. This works great until I move or alter the graph in anyway then the arrows don't match up with the dates required.

    Example..
    Yeast capture.JPG

Is there away for the chart to automatically add the batch codes in along the X axis when they are entered into a table assigned with a date. OR at least have my arrows move with their assigned dates along the x axis?

Thanks for any help on this

Add another data series to the chart, then label the points for that data series with the batch number. The arrow could probably be added, if you really need the arrow shape, as a custom picture in place of the marker. Add data label to the point with the batch number.

Assuming you currently have 3 columns in your chart's data table, add a fourth column:

The fourth column places the marker for this series, and the fifth column is used to label the points with the batch number.

Is that something you can work with?
