Dual waterfall in MS Excel for Mac

    Hello!

I am trying to create what I think is called a dual waterfall - I have tried to Google a solution, but to no avail. I have attached a picture of the data and the chart I get. The chart now shows only the A values (12, 18.4, 9.75, 12.5) for the different ranges. I would like the first range to show BOTH A and B, so that it shows A values in one color, and B values in another color. So for the Range 0-12, A would have 12, and B would have 0. For the range 12-35 it would show 18.4 for A, and then on top of that, 4.6 for B. Etc.

Anyone have a solution? Would be most appreciated!

    Thanks a lot!

    Best wishes,

Pictures are not very helpful, an actual sample file would make it easier for use to help you.

How are you creating this waterfall chart? Are you using the built in waterfall chart available only in the newest versions of Excel, or are you using a "stacked column" chart that was used in older versions?

I don't use the newest versions of Excel, but, from what I have seen, the specialty charts (like the waterfall chart) available in these versions are not very flexible. They are convenient, but limited. My guess is that you will need to build this the old fashioned way (as a stacked column chart) in order to overcome the limitations in the built in chart type and get the effect you want.

Tutorial for stacked column waterfall charts: https://peltiertech.com/excel-waterf...bridge-charts/
Then, assuming I understand what you are trying to do, combine that technique with a clustered and stacked column chart: https://peltiertech.com/clustered-st...mn-bar-charts/

    Where do you get stuck?
