Creating a Consolidated Data worksheet using pivot table

    Hi Experts
I am looking for a pivot solution if possible (Not sure if it can be done using pivot or power pivot)

I have a worksheet called Daily Production Report with data entered by date. This sheet records who has done what work with their start and end times
For now what i am looking for is consolidate this data in another worksheet called Consolidated Data
What I need is the Consolidated Data sheet checks the Daily Production Report sheet and if there are any entries it consolidates it
Consolidates the date and creates a new row, check how many peoples names are entered and does a headcount for the number of people whos names have been entered on that day

Please help or advise me if its not possible

    Regards
    Rahul

Re: Creating a Consolidated Data worksheet using pivot table

    Hi Alan
    Thanks for replying
Is it possible to get the data using calculated fields?

This is just the start of the consolidated data worksheet, I need to add more columns but need the date and headcount columns sorted before moving on

    Thanks
    Rahul

I don't know what you are asking. Supply a mocked up example of what you want.

Re: Creating a Consolidated Data worksheet using pivot table

    Hi Alan
Sorry haven't been able to explain correctly
What I need is just an consolidated worksheet as a table and off this consolidated table i can then create pivot reports
The Daily Production Report (DPR) has multiple entries of all the people who worked on the day, times started and stopped and which production order numbers
Need just a consolidated table to group the data in one row for each day
I wanted to find a solution one problem at a time as asking for too many solutions in one thread is not fair
For this thread what i am looking for is a way to consolidate data into another table
Have attached one more sample file. Hope it makes sense

    Regards

To add the time for the Leading Hand and Team Leader, add a column to your table and put the data there. Then add there "bonus time" to the regular time in another column and then make that new total part of your pivot table instead of the current hours column.
