    Graph - separatly input/output analysis

    EXC.PNG

I have functional table where (see on pic), for example, some day (DATE) certain MATERIAL comes into system (+KG value), and days where is going out of the system (-KG value).
I want to create graph where it can be seen for each MATERIAL how much entered into the system, during some period of time or the whole year. Also, to be able see how much each MATERIAL exit the system (-KG) during some period of time or the whole year.

    How to do it guys
Hope I explain well the issue

Hello VedranWart and Welcome to Excel Forum.
Not saying that I am able to make such a chart, but it would be easier for someone to help if you would upload the spreadsheet from which the screen shot is taken.
To upload a sample spreadsheet click on the GO ADVANCED button below the Quick Reply window and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

See if Sheet1 of the attached file is what you want.
The formulas that supply the values to the chart are:
    B2:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

    B3:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

The date range may be selected in cells D2:D3.
The material may be selected in cell F2 (The list that populates the drop down is in column XFD).
Let us know if you have any questions.

Re: Graph - separatly input/output analysis

    Thanks for helping.
The chart you made in Sheet1 looks good...no date need.
Because I need on a year basis (or month period) to check how much get inside and out.

I tried to copy your Formula in B2 and B3, but it won't be accept, or I didn't paste in on a right place.
Can u textualy summarize me what formula shuold look like and ... what mathematical equasion should I process on data to get that kind of chart?

    Thanks in advance!

Re: Graph - separatly input/output analysis

Sometimes pasting a formula works better if you select the cell and then paste the formula into the formula bar at the top. (I don't know why)
In B2 the SUMIFS function has the following arguments:
The sum range is the KG column (O),
The first criteria range is also the KG column (O) and the first criteria is greater than zero*,
The second criteria range is the date column (K) and the criteria is greater than or equal to the date in cell D2,
The third criteria range is also the date column (K) and the criteria is less than or equal to the date in cell D3,
The fourth criteria range is the material column (L) and the criteria is the material listed in cell F2.
*(Note that for B3 the first criteria is less than zero)
