Adding average values to bar chart

Hi guys,
I have a bar chart for a group of items. The bars show the minimum and maximum numbers for items. I would like to add markers to all bars to show the average values as well, but I cannot do it.
Can anyone help me please?

You could do something like this where the averages are plotted as an XY scatter series (the numbers in the first column are to get the markers to line up with the bar chart categories), with no markers and a Y error bar to make a line for the average?
