    Gantt Chart for Legal Filings California

    I've been trying to wrap my head around making a legal calendar with a Gantt Chart. I've been using the Workday function to get it going and filling out the calendar but I can't get it lined up corretly with the court website. For Example, If under category I chose response, it should be 21 days after receiving. To test the calendar, The start date can be 11/21-11/25. If the start date is any of these days the due date should be December 24th. I've tried workday and I can't integrate Weekday function. Just gives me an error if I try to add to the function.
    The Function I have is this:

    =IF(C12="Initialized",1,IF(C12="Response",21+WORKDAY(11/1/2018,7,C35:C50),IF(C12="Demurrer",30+WORKDAY(11/1/2018,5,C35:C50),IF(C12="Received",1,IF(C12="Depo",14+WORKDAY(11/1/2018,5,C35:C50),IF(C12="",,))))))

    So when I choose a category it will spit out a number of days, Then on the Chart it's this which is from Excel itself:

    =IF(AND($C9="Received",H$5>=$E9,H$5<=$E9+$F9-1),2,IF(AND($C9="Initialized",H$5>=$E9,H$5<=$E9+$F9-1),1,""))

    But I can't make the holidays work or weekends correctly. Any Help is appreciated

    Hello Hiroshiro and Welcome to Excel Forum.
    I do not understand why a date would be 'hard wired' into this formula, but for the formula to return a date it would need to read:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    To find out more about how excel handles dates look at the 'Remarks' section of the DATEVALUE function help page.
    We might be able to be of more help if you could upload a sample spreadsheet that manually shows the expected gantt chart based on the sample data.
    To upload a sample spreadsheet (not a picture or pasted copy) click on the GO ADVANCED button below the Quick Reply window and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
