maximum number of value fields in pivot reached??

    Hi all,

I have created ~300 calculated fields by using VBA and now need to add them to a pivot (also done with code), but it stops at 256! I've been doing some research and it seems that the limit used to be 256 for value fields, but I am using Excel 365, hence that should not be a problem?? I unticked the "Classic PivotTable Layout" box in pivot table options, but still no luck...

The limit is still 256. Why do you need so many?

Are you sure? Where are you getting that information from? My link above says otherwise

My forecasting sheet takes data from the pivot, didn't want to create several pivots, but rather have everything in one...

Thanks!! Good to know what the limits of Excel actually are. Will set up the data differently then.
