    Powerpivot with 2 databases

    Hi;

    I have a big Excel dabase that I would like to connect with another smaller Excel database via powerpivot but I am not very familiar.

    attached 2 file in which I would like to link supplier data in which I have supplier ID repeating several time "columnA" with the database contract supplier in which the supplier ID in column "F" is Unique.

    Thanks

    You can import/link tables from two workbooks and then just create a relationship between them. Which part are you having problems with?

    I try to create relationship between the 2 files but I get the message that the relationship cannot be created bacause column contains duplicate value. The Contract supplier has only 1 unique supplier ID.

    Maybe I did not create a correct relationship

    Do you actually have blanks in that column like in your example? If so, it's not a good column for a relationship.

    Hi,

    That's correct. Thanks for the tip.

    One more question, if I understood correctly I can create relationships with powerpivot with multiple tabs in the same excel workbook and relationships between 2 or more excel workbook, is this correct?

    Thanks
