    Connecting two slicers for dashboard

    Hi guys,

I want to prepare a dashboard but I am not able to connect the data models which has similar values.. Instead of one slicer, I have to use two slicers.
Please anyone help me in sorting this out.

    Thanks

So which slicer is the "master" and which is the "slave?" There are some things you can set on the master that do not have a counterpart on the slave and there is some things on the slave that could never be set because they are not in the master.

You will have to tell us how you want to deal with these situations.

This is more of a problem in logic than programming.
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.

    Hi dflak,

Actually Monthly Summary is a source for the data, using Monthly Summary, Daily Balance is created.

Daily Balance is nothing but balance which is maintained in the bank EOD after recording all the transaction. So if there is no transaction in a particular day then the daily balance will be last transaction closing balance.

So, connection will be only months between two.

PS: Please find the updated attachment for reference.

I think this will do it. There is a pivot table change sync event on the data sheet. When you select the master slicer, PivotTable3 changes, so this fires off the event. I made use of constants to make the code easy to modify.

Here is the slicer sync code.

And I don't need two slicers. I just need one slicer that can control all the pivot tables.
