How to get Dynamic Target/USL/LSL lines in Quality Dimension Pivot Chart

    Hello All,
    Let me explain my Workbook:
Sheet 'Master': where we input the Item > Mold details
Sheet 'SPEC SHEET': where we input the dimension details for each Item
Sheet 'INPROCESS RAW': where the operator takes different dimensions for different items and enters the raw value

    My Goal:
To plot a pivot (or dynamic non-pivot) chart where I can choose the different items, molds, dates, cavities and it plots the raw/target/USL/LSL values.

Prob with current chart: The TGT/LSL/USL values are repeating for each data point and causing a clutter in the chart. For high volume these repetitions will make it unreadable.

Is there any way the TGT/LSL/USL lines are plotted only once but keep chaning as I change the slicer?

    Thanks in advance!!

Re: How to get Dynamic Target/USL/LSL lines in Quality Dimension Pivot Chart

This seemed like an interesting project to get me working with charts again.

The event runs when the pivot table is updated (which is what the slicers do). The event runs a program that looks at all the series after the last 5 and deletes them if they match *Tgt or *Limit. That leaves only the original target and control limits and all actual values.

I looked up how to change the text on the legend entry to see if I could change the name from 1/10/2019 Tgt to Tgt, etc. but it can't be done.

One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.

I don't know what update button you are talking about. The event is run when the pivot table is updated which happens when the slicers are selected.

If the result of the pivot returns NO data, then the chart is blank. There are slicer combinations where this happens.
