    Chart for Performance Evaluation

    Hi,
I am trying to chart 13 Performance Factors (Skill, Quantity of Work, Knowledge, Dependability, Work Habits, Attendance, Relationships with People, Learning Ability, Initiative and Attitude, Personal Fitness, Ability as a Supervisor, Administration Ability and Factors Not listed Above) with five ratings (Unsatisfactory, Below Average, Average, Above Average, Outstanding) of a Performance Eval at 3 month, 6 month and 12 month intervals by three different evaluators. I would like the chart to display a trend line. Can any one please help me with this? Thank you.

    Welcome to the Forum HumboldtAllie!

For one person or for many people? Do you have a sample of the file you use to collect this information?

The paper clip icon does not work for attachments. To attach a file, under the text box where you type your reply click the Go Advanced button. On the next screen scroll down and click on Manage Attachments, which will show a pop-up window to Select and Upload a file. Then close the window.

    Hi,
This would be for one person. The plan will be to have four worksheets for four people. I am sorry, but do not have a sample of the file. It has been collected on hard forms. I hope you can help. Thank you, Jeff!

    Re: Chart for Performance Evaluation

Here is quick mock-up based on your description. Here are the key elements:

    • Sheet Ratings shows a list of the possible ratings. These are used to make a named range called Ratings.
    • First sheet shows categories, and corresponding ratings for three periods. Each rating uses Data Validation with list Ratings so you can select the rating from a dropdown box.
    • Second sheet is parallel to the first sheet, and looks up each rating to change it into a number. You can only graph numbers.
    • The first sheet has a chart for each category, using the numbers on the second sheet.
    • The Y axis on the chart is actually a box with text in it. There is no built-in way to show text on that axis, so we have to fake it. The box uses cell D12 on the Ratings sheet, which just concanates all the ratings into a single string. CHAR(10) is the line break character.
