Newbie graphing help with date for axes

I am trying to produce a graph that shows the values from worksheet column H on the Y axis and the date/time along the x axis (ignoring gaps in the Data but maybe i need to filter to get rid of these if excel can not ignore them). The date/time value, currently in column Y is from a formula from a text field as it is imported this way.

Producing a graph currently I cannot get the X axis working properly.

The excel sheet with sample data is attached. It currently is showing the row number on X axis but if i select the data/time instead It seems to view the I column and retrieve the formulas? and show part as a legend. I very rarely create a graph and it has me stumped

    Thanks for any advice

You'll have to create a new column to convert the date/time "text" to real date/time using this formula =SUBSTITUTE(B2;".";"/")+0 (perhaps reformat)
    Now you can
    or
    copy-paste special-values on col B
    or
use your newly created column as reference for your calculations in col I

    Pepe

Thanks for that I managed to get the dates converted but again getting the graph to show them along the X axis would not work properly. In the end we decided to just have the number of data points along the X axis which is the default.

I will need to read up more on the chart settings as I am sure there must be a way.

    Regards
