COUNTA function in Subtotal row

I'm trying to make a pivot table where I can get a countA of specific row labels in the subtotal column. Basically I have a report broken down by Company/Project/Group and I want the subtotal under project to display the number of projects coming up within a company. A screen shot example of the goal is attached. If it has to go in a column on the end thats fine as well but I just want to get a CountA of the second column in the pivot table within the table. Thanks.

If layout does not need to be exactly like image... you could follow process outlined in link to add distinct count of Project title column.

Otherwise, you may be able to do it using Text based DAX Measure using PowerPivot. However, this may still require some layout change.
