Hello,
I am looking to make my pivot table report only values that are created in one mode for the same name based on which mode produces higher values. I have a raw data tab in which the pivot table pulls from and would like all data and info to stay in that tab but only pull one section of data for the pivot table.
What I would like to see for example:
Raw Data Tab
Name (column 1): Carbon, Amount (column 2): 23.64, Mode (column 3): Positive
Name (column 1): Carbon, Amount (column 2): 88.64, Mode (column 3): Positive
Name (column 1): Carbon, Amount (column 2): 32.64, Mode (column 3): Negative
Name (column 1): Carbon, Amount (column 2): 2.64, Mode (column 3): Negative
Name (column 1): Sodium, Amount (column 2): 56.64, Mode (column 3): Positive
Name (column 1): Sodium, Amount (column 2): 1.64, Mode (column 3): Positive
Name (column 1): Sodium, Amount (column 2): 7.64, Mode (column 3): Negative
Name (column 1): Sodium, Amount (column 2): 201.64, Mode (column 3): Negative
Pivot Table Tab
Name (column 1): Carbon, Amount (column 2): 23.64, Mode (column 3): Positive
Name (column 1): Carbon, Amount (column 2): 88.64, Mode (column 3): Positive
Name (column 1): Sodium, Amount (column 2): 7.64, Mode (column 3): Negative
Name (column 1): Sodium, Amount (column 2): 201.64, Mode (column 3): Negative
Many of the names are the same in the column, the ion mode is different for different amounts, and the sum of the amounts is higher in positive mode for carbon and higher in negative mode for sodium. I would like my pivot table to only report all values for the mode with the higher sum amount, like shown above. I cannot figure out a command to set this up and I cannot figure out how to have the pivot table do this filter. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
