How to show comparison in a stacked column chart

    Hi

I want to show a comparison of two series(series-1 and series-2) in a "stacked column chart". Each series has "min, max and average" values which need to be compared with other series(values of series-1 need to be compared with series-2). Drawing a stacked column chart for any one of these series is pretty simple but i don't know how to display values of both series on the same chart. Sample data file is attached here.
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.
    Regards

I think this is merely how you arrange the data in the chart. On sheet 2 I use columns A & B as the X-axis and this separates them into two groups.

One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.

Re: How to show comparison in a stacked column chart

    Hi
Thank you for taking time to reply. What i exactly need to do is to compare values of Series-1 with Series-2 in the following way:
I need to compare value at Series-1 1(Series 1 point 1) with the one at Series-2 1(Series 2 point 1), Series-1 2(Series 1 point 2) with Series-2 2(Series 2 point 2) and so on. So i need a point by point comparison. Can you please guide how to do it?

    Best Regards

Re: How to show comparison in a stacked column chart

Hello michaelsmith2017 and Welcome to Excel Forum.
If I understand correctly, perhaps the following will help.
A third range (C27:E36) is populated using: =C3-C15
A stacked column chart is produced based on the new range.
If this isn't what you are looking for, please manually produce (perhaps using paint) and upload a chart that compares the Min, Average and Max of series 1 point 1 and series 2 point 1 in the way you want. We may then be able to replicate the chart and expand it to include the other nine points.
Let us know if you have any questions.

Re: How to show comparison in a stacked column chart

My thought would be to use a clustered and stacked column chart -- which is a basic stacked column chart with extra care in arranging the data in the spreadsheet. Follow tutorial here: https://peltiertech.com/clustered-st...mn-bar-charts/ and let us know which parts you have trouble with.
