Add Calculated Field from Power Pivot

    Hi all,

Am having difficulties adding a calculated field in my power pivot. The table itself is sourced via Data Model, thus the "Calculate Field" option is disabled.

How else can I add another calculation in my pivot table?

I want to add another column on the right that calculated the Year-on-Year percentage(FY19/FY18). Any advice?

    Cheers!

Do you actually have Power Pivot?

It would help to see actual data - workbook, not a picture.

    Hi Rory,

I'm afraid I won't be able to share the file as it contains sensitive information.

But any reason why the "Calculated Field" is greyed out when trying to do so? Is it because I am using data via Data Model? Essentially I want to add in a Y-o-Y calculation to a pivot chart, thus needing to add in a calculated field.

Suggest you modify your workbook to sanitize your confidential information with dummy data. It is not necessary to have the whole workbook, but only a sample that is representative of your actual file.

We cannot work with a picture as it cannot be manipulated and tested.

Re: Add Calculated Field from Power Pivot

I have attached a test file. The data, as previously mentioned is obtained via query's Data Model.

Essentially, I would like to have another column added to calculate Y-o-Y percentage. But the "Calculated Field" option is not available. Not sure if there is other way around it.
