    PIVOT CHART grouping with Date

    Hi I am having issues grouping a pivot table from days to months. I know the issue is due to blank cells, however I am looking for a work around. here is an example of the workbook:

    A1 contains a date (manually added)
    B1 contains following formula: =IF(ISBLANK(A01),"",TODAY()-A01)
    C1 contains following formula: =IF(ISBLANK(A01),"", A01+B01)
    D1 contains Yes or No values.

    I want to create a pivot table, that shows # of Yes or No grouped by month. I understand that is it the blank cells and the "", that is causing the issues.

    Anyone have any suggestions on how to get the grouping to month or to force the pivot to ignore the blank cells?

    Without seeing the workbook, I can only give a vague suggestion: add a helper column with the formula =ISBLANK(DateCell) and then use this as a filter for the pivot table with the value FALSE.
    One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

    A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
