    Selecting Data Charting Issues

    Hey,

    Graph 1:
So, I'm able to chart 3 lines on a graph, and it looks great. This is without selecting any cells with formulas (all cells have values). Cells selected all the way down to Column UD.

    Graph 2:
As soon as I include the cells that have formulas, but have no values yet, the chart looks awful. The x-axis values are no longer the correct dates, and the chart on the right hand side is no longer lined up. Cells selected all the way down to Column ACT.

My goal is to be able to enter data on a separate sheet ("Data Entry") and have the calculations & charting be performed on this other sheet ("Charting").

Is there a way to make this charting clearer with these additional cells with these formulas?

Thank you...I hope this is clear. I tried my best to explain this issue,
And, as always, I appreciate any time & feedback you have for me,
    Robert

When a scatter chart encounters a text string in a data series (including the empty string "" that we often use like a blank cell), it stops treating the values as numbers and starts treating them as counting numbers. In your case, you have a lot of IF(ISBLANK(),"",...) type formulas that are filling your scatter chart ranges with empty strings.

I recommend that you review this essay that talks about how Excel charts handle blank cells, how they handle text strings, and ways to work with these blanks that aren't really blank: https://peltiertech.com/mind-the-gap...g-empty-cells/
