What do you use to graph excel data into a map?

    What do you use to graph excel data into a map?

    I'm assigning all 50 US states to 5 people in Sales. This is simple to graph using the chart type "Map."

    But I also have 9 major cities I need to call out on the map.

    What software do you use to graph select cities and US states? Is Power BI best (and free)?

    It's a bit clumsy to use, but I've had a great deal of success with PowerMap, which is a free add-in. I think you'll need Excel 2016 or 365, though. You can find it on the "Insert" tab of the ribbon (see image below). Haven't tried Power BI.

    I believe 3D Map is only in 365.

    I've been using it in 2016, so I can vouch for it there. I think it comes prepackaged with 2016 and 365? I've also read that a slightly limited version can be installed on 2013, but I had no luck getting it to work at my office. Might've just been my own shortcomings, though. I'm not IT, and they were little help.
