Re: Extend colour in chart [MOVED]

I found a method to change type of axis to text axis that can omit the non-working day, but I cannot match the data point to edge of vertical colour zone. Anyone have ideal for me...?

The axis looks like it is a date axis rather than text, which is why 31st Aug is on the axis but has no data marker or column.

Set the axis to text, although this will only then display the dates you actually have in your dataset.

If you want to keep those dates in the axis you will need to add corresponding dates to your dataset and include values for up/dn or a complete new series if you want those dates displayed in a different colour

Did you add extra data points to the dataset?
If you are still trying to resolve this attach an example workbook rather than an image.

    Welcome to the forum

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

I see you did not try the suggestion of adding dates for those missing.

I have added an extra series because I was not sure if you wanted those missing dates identified in some way. If not then add 1 to either the existing up or dn series

Thanks for your suggestion but I prefer to set [the axis to text] for hidden non-working date on axis. The problem is that all data points are always half a point away from the color zone area and there are nothing method to match them.

Re: Extend colour in chart [MOVED]

I'm confused. If you use Text axis and set Axis Position to be Between Tick Marks, then there should be no gaps and the date will be centered under each column. The lines data markers will be center of columns.
